Overview

Ready to use 4G and 5G labs for students

Set of practical and interactive laboratory exercises, accelerating the learning process on 4G and 5G wireless technologies. They are implemented in Matlab and Octave.

We deliver it under the Academy brand or white-label it depending on the university’s needs.

Each exercise consists of PDF instruction (including a theoretical introduction with references for further reading and tasks for students) and Matlab/Octave scripts with predefined simulation scenarios.

The University labs are primarily targeted at research and educational institutions such as universities and training companies. University research pack include predefined laboratory classes guiding the student from fundamental wireless aspects such as radio propagation or OFDM modulation up to more advanced topics such as MIMO and M2M.

A wide range of laboratory exercises allows a student to familiarize with both link and network level aspects of 4G/5G systems.

Link-level laboratory exercises focus on the transmitting and receiving PHY procedures for both eNB and UE. The processing blocks used for the PHY layer exercises are presented below:

Figure processing blocks diagram PHY layer exercises

Network-level laboratory exercises focus on dynamic behavior of Heterogeneous Network, including MAC layer procedures, propagation and mobility models, packet traffic analysis and transmission statistics. When performing system level simulations, the physical layer is abstracted as shown below:
